Deposit and Coverage

The amount of pesticide which is deposited on the plant is of course critical to the result of the spraying - but for many pesticides the way it is deposited is of high importance as well. Almost all of the pesticides used have a mode of action which is depending on how well they cover the spray target.

Therefore both the total amount deposited and the coverage are influencing how well a plant protection treatment are working. You can normally use reduced doses without losing effect if you can manage to maximise the deposit and ensure a very good coverage at the same time.

Good coverage demands Fine to Medium drop sizes – and therefore demands perfect spraying weather with little or no wind – or the use of a HARDI TWIN sprayer.

The reports on these pages shows different research results where deposit and coverage has been in focus.
